Evelyn Reese
has appeared on every important Toronto comedy stage, including Buddies
in Bad Times Theatre, Second City Toronto, Girls School (Diesel Playhouse),
Monkey Toast, OUTtv and with the comic cross-dressing B-Girlz, on stage
and film. Their collaboration, Evelyn Reese’s Wedding
Tribute, won Best Film at the 2007 Q2FFF festival. In
May 2009, Evelyn Reese: Near the Red Carpet
premiered at the Inside Out Lesbian and Gay Film and Video Festival.
Evelyn has received rave reviews at Fringe and other festivals across
Canada for both her one-woman shows: The Evelyn Reese Show
and Evelyn Reese’s Family Room. Her
first one-woman piece of guerrilla theatre premiered at the 2010 Toronto
Fringe Festival. Evelyn Reese’s Walking Tour turned a lot of heads
on the streets of Toronto and received the Eye Weekly Fringe cover story.
